The assistance covers under this
Project implementation of the following Road Safety related activities. 1. Strengthening and further development of Road Safety Institutions and Organizations. 2. Securing adequate Safety considerations are incorporated in new Road Development Project through implementation of a rigour Road Safety Audit Program. 3. Improving drivers’ proficiency by introducing further improvements in driver training and Licensing-Procedures. 4. Improving the Safety Standard of Motor Vehicles. 5. Strengthening of the Traffic Police e.g. by promoting development of an appropriate and modern Traffic and Highway Police. 6. Expansion of the Emergency and Rescue Services System. 7. Implementing a sustainable program to improve accident-prone locations (Black Spots). 8. Widening the Public Awareness of Road Safety Issues including traffic Education in Schools. |
